The committee is to be made up of five persons who have held membership in the church for a minimum of six months prior to August 31st of the year they are nominated. All members must have completed the Child Protection Policy Training and submitted the appropriate paperwork. The committee is also responsible for making sure all volunteers have completed the Child Protection Policy Training before serving in any role with our children. Each member is expected to work in cooperation with the other members to provide ministry to the children from Kindergarten-Sixth grade. Coordination between the committee and leaders of the other children's organizations such as Sunday School, Choir, and Wednesday night activities will aid in a unified ministry. The Committee will be responsible for planning a minimum of four events per year. These should include but, are not limited to the Fall Festival (October), Jesus' Birthday Party (December), Valentine's Party (February), and Easter Egg Hunt (March-April). The Committee members are also expected to coordinate the Children's Church held simultaneously to the regular Sunday morning worship service. The selection of materials, preparation of a rotating volunteer leadership schedule, and supervision of the Children's worship time will be their main responsibilities.
