The mission of the Church is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked.
The mission of the Church is highlighted in 2 Corinthians 5. As those who have been reconciled to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, we are now ambassadors of reconciliation to a lost and broken world. We plead, urge, implore, reason, pray, serve, preach, teach and gather to see God glorified through reconciliation.
At GBC, this mission is best displayed in our local community, where we daily have the chance of living out the Gospel to those around us.
We seek to fulfill the great commission by going with our faith - we have been given a great gift and it is our goal that we share this gift with others.
Though each Christian has a personal relationship with God, that relationship is not individual or private. The Christian should not just to seek to reach others but to grow in their personal relationship with Christ in community with other believers. We are here for you!
GBC's story is as unique as each of our own. We believe that all things exist and are being worked according to the triune God’s passion, pleasure and plan, which is the demonstration of His own intrinsic glory. And that God creates, calls, rescues, redeems, saves, restores, restrains and grants all to the end that He might be praised. Join us as we do life together for the sake of his glory and praise here at Gloster.
